Pretty great and the simple part is very true, it's very close at least. But some things are annoying, like the tags: 1 in settings you can unlock them from being alphabetically sorted, great, but then you can't reorder them and good luck inserting anything where you want it to go, for me it went straight into it's alphabetical position. 2 you can't pin tags? 3 you go to edit the tags they are still sorted alphabetically and can't be renamed? 4 most stupid of all, no search and tap in one place

Don't want to see the full address of an internal link when accessing one note from another - I just want to see an underlined hyperlink name. Also, clicking on the internal link has no effect in itself, it can only be accessed by clicking on the text icon on the toolbar. In my case, clicking on the text icon momentarily opens the referenced note with a blue background, but it immediately closes, depositing me back to the list of notes. Something's going wrong. Also, why no spell check in Linux?

It's a nice, straight forward note app. I like that it supports dark mode. However: Why does the app decide when the automatic dark mode should start and stop? Please let Android 9.0 devices follow the system theme. Every Samsung device on Pie also supports this setting. Edit: I'm disappointed by the reply. This setting works on many other third party apps. You could also let users set the times. It's a good app, but I don't think my device (S8) is so outdated that it shouldn't be supported.

Automatically changing theme based on sunrise and sunset of your location was deprecated by Google. Now, hard-coded values (i.e. 6:00am and 10:00pm) are used by the API. "System default" is supported on Android 10 and higher as stated in the official Android documentation. We will continue to follow those guidelines with Simplenote.
