The newest UI is kind of okay. It looks a little cleaner once you get used to it. The articles that the algorithm is picking are horrible. I used to be able to choose not to see stories from links on paywalled sites. Now I can only choose to "see less content like this".. I can't tell you how many times I've chosen that I do not want content from the Times of India. Still get them. :/ Just like every other search engine out there it is heavily biased towards US sources.

Edit 3/11/25: More UI changes for the worse. Removed(?) the weather feature, "Sponsored" ads more often. General trash, would give it even fewer stars if possible. The UI changes made over the last couple days are dumb as hell. You get two to three results for a search, then it goes to completely unrelated videos, and then starts throwing other search results at you as an entire new blocks of screen space.

"Ask Gemini" has started appearing randomly on my phone even though I didn't install the Gemini app. I can't figure out what triggers it to pop up, and when it does appear, I haven't been able to figure out how to close it. When this happens, I can no longer use the touch screen to get around it, meaning I can no longer access anything on my phone, including dialing 911, if I needed to. I used Google search to find solutions to disable it, but all suggestions were a dead end! Seems to be hidden.
