it used to be great, but since they updated it so that everything needs premium, it's been horrible. you can't turn off shuffle, you can't skip more than 6 songs per hour, and the worst is when I'm trying to listen to a song but they keep playing some other nonsense, for example if I'm trying to play Wayward son by Kansas, it will play dust in the wind and I have to skip several songs just to get to the one I want, and if that wasn't bad enough it almost always needs more than 6 skips plus ads

I'm actively looking for a new app to switch to after being a premium customer for many years. I've used Spotify for podcasts and it's already incredibly annoying that the ads keep piling up, even though you're paying for premium. With the newest update they've removed the new episodes tab, making it unusable to me. I can only assume this was a stupid attempt to push the algorithm? ETA: No, the "following" tab is awful, doesn't let you skip finished eps and there's no way to filter.

Love the algorithmic suggestions from this app, but I'm getting more and more pissed off by technical, algorithmic or any sort of background changes within the app that makes my liked/ favourite artists/ songs just disappear. If an artist wants to be delisted - ok. But this happens way too often with content that is still available on this platform. Pretty frustrating for a "music collection" that I'm paying for on a monthly basis.
