Social Marketing Manager, YouTube Marketing SPARK (English, Korean)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Social or Influencer marketing, including experience with data-informed marketing campaigns and always-on programs.
  • Experience with social media and influencer marketing campaigns in Korea including owned and paid social media.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with various stakeholders and teams.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently to collaborate with colleagues and complete tasks and projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with and coordinating external agencies, vendors and AI-powered workflows.
  • Experience in using social insights, to shape marketing briefs, with knowledge of social listening tools and experience in digital media planning.
  • Understanding of YouTube’s ecosystem (user, creator, advertiser), and with content and a passion for trends and what Korean Gen Z are passionate about.
  • Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with independence, sense of ownership and ability to form a point of view and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

As Social Marketing Manager for YouTube, you will be shaping and driving the social presence of one of the most culturally significant brands of our times in a dynamic and growing region.

You should have experience driving social and influencer marketing strategies and programs that have created an impact on marketing and business goals. You have a knack for spotting trends before others do, and you are as obsessed about what excites communities as you are about what our products can do for them. You are a constant advocate for our users and creators - your ideas are always deeply rooted in what they care about, what they crave, and what delights them. And you have experience executing and optimizing programs, from influencer marketing, to always-on social editorial, to escalating brand risks and responding swiftly and thoughtfully to topics that are important to our users and creators. You have analytical, strategic and creative capabilities, using data for insights that will drive measurable results.

Working cross-functionally, you will manage strategy, planning, execution and day-to-day operations of social and influencer marketing in Korea, across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with various marketing and cross-functional teams to help develop programs that deliver intended business results.
  • Engage and lead social media and influencer agencies to build effective social media and influence marketing programs and campaigns for YouTube, across multiple channels and owned, paid and earned.
  • Track and quantify social impact on YouTube business goals.
  • Work closely with global/regional/local social/PR/policy teams as part of a Global Rapid Response Team on round-the-clock social listening/monitoring workflows and processes, proactive and reactive escalation and management of user sentiment across social platforms.
  • Work closely with media teams on paid media amplification and insights and analytics teams on social brand health and owned, earned and paid reporting for campaigns and initiatives.
