The Camera System Health (CaSH) team's mission is to ensure and improve the performance, stability, and efficiency of the Pixel Camera. We develop and maintain robust tooling, lab automation, and data analysis pipelines to measure key camera metrics like startup latency, shot loss, power consumption, and memory usage. The work enables data-driven improvements and helps prevent user-impacting regressions, ultimately delivering a smoother and more reliable camera experience for Pixel users. This team works closely with camera feature teams, performing experiments, and building infrastructure to identify issues and optimize performance across the camera stack.

Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our Devices & Services team combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware to create radically helpful experiences for users. We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, seamless, and more powerful.
