Logistics Operations Manager, Google Cloud Logistics

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing warehousing and supply chain operations.
  • 5 years of experience working with, supervising, and managing third-party logistics relationships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business, or a related field.
  • Certification in Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
  • 1 year of experience analyzing data and generating business insights to guide business decisions.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with internal/external teams to drive alignment on priorities and achieve shared objectives to support the business.
  • Ability to apply structured thinking and logic to work, provide innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement and cycle time reduction in a logistics environment, coupled with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Valid Netherlands driving license.

In this role, you will be the leader of how Google optimizes daily logistics processes while incorporating current industry standards and best practices. You will be responsible for driving continuous process improvement recommendations, managing the implementation of changes within operations, standardizing user documentation, creating processes that motivate action, and interacting with all partner teams. You will initiate and oversee operational improvement efforts for EMEA Google Cloud Logistics, analyze operational impacts to inform improvements, work with key stakeholders, motivate innovation within the operational teams, and create presentations or documents for the leadership team highlighting operational performance and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Own the logistics operations management, manage third-party logistics vendors operating warehouses or data centers in assigned locations, and ensure that they perform to the aligned Service Level Agreements (SLA) consistently and effectively, ensuring business continuity.
  • Manage and monitor metrics for key performance indicators, vendor performance scorecards, and development of business cases to support logistics process changes or improvements. Drive alignment and prioritization of initiatives in a changing environment.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, carriers, cross-functional teams) to reduce delivery cycle times.
  • Engage with Google stakeholders to ensure alignment of priorities and joint opportunities to scale the business efficiently, delivering on joint performance goals.
  • Drive continuous opportunity initiatives to address obstacles for both forward and reverse material flows into and out of data centers and warehouses.
