Senior Strategic Agency Manager, Google Customer Solutions (Japanese, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience in building executive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently, as it is a customer-facing role that requires interactions with local and regional stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing end-to-end partnerships with promoting digital advertising solutions.
  • Experience with working in a changing and collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of different cultures, with the ability to work with global teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent thought leadership with the ability to collaborate in executive functioning.
  • Excellent investigative skills to assess performance, with the ability to develop insights to capture opportunities.

Google Customer Solutions (GCS) business teams are trusted advisors and promoters who maintain a focus on customer success. We are dedicated to growing the unique needs of advertising companies. The teams of strategists, analysts, advisers and support specialists collaborate to spot and analyze customer needs and trends. The team creates and implements business plans for all types of businesses.

The Agency team is responsible for empowering the clients to achieve their marketing and advertising goals through agency partnerships. This involves collaborating with agencies and advertisers, while also helping agencies enhance their capabilities to better serve their clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for bringing the partners on a journey by determining where the agency, customer, and Google strategies and GCS priorities align to enable agency and customer success. You will identify opportunities to cultivate agency growth, enabling team to reach their potential in supporting clients and achieving impact.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage partnerships with entities of all sizes.
  • Develop cross-product area partner initiatives and build go-to-market strategies to meet Google goals across changing industries.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for the current existing agreements. Help to realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building relationships.
  • Engage with several internal cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to incubate, launch and improve new features and user experiences across markets and functional areas.
  • Manage executive-level agency relationships through key C-level meetings, quarterly reviews, and engagements.
