Civics Outreach Manager, Policy and Responsibility Marketing

  • Knowledge of political processes, political campaign culture and election law.

  • Ability to manage internal and external relationships.

About the job

In Consumer Apps Marketing, whether you are on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you will represent the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you will be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a US Civics Outreach Manager on the Policy and Responsibility Marketing team within Consumer Apps Marketing you will join a cross-functional team that is committed to supporting democratic processes around the world, driving innovation at the intersection of tech and politics, and growing opportunities to increase civic discourse and access to information.

In this role, you will drive efforts to help politicians and government officials use and comprehend Google products to connect with voters and constituents. You will help educate campaigns, politicians and third-party groups on Google’s product offerings, including Search, AI tools, cybersecurity resources, and more.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$163,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead outreach and training to political entities at relevant industry events and meetings, help them understand and utilize Google’s suite of products to achieve their goals. 
  • Develop product outreach and training pipeline for candidates, elected officials and political organizations, build out curriculum and case studies where appropriate. 
  • Manage Google’s brand presence at key political events and on-the-ground activations.
  • Serve as an authority on industry insights and communicate proactively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Answer incoming questions or requests from partners about the product suite in a timely manner, manage the resolution where appropriate.
