Global Process Manager, Sales Bonus

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Operations, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, or an operations-related function; or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree in business, accounting, or finance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certifications.
  • Experience leading complex process improvement projects.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and testing processes and controls for standard systems and custom applications.
  • Experience applying statistical methods, SQL, dashboard design.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with excellent Project Management and Data Analysis skills.

About the job

The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective and efficient. As a member of this team, you'll find innovative ways to manage our complex set of transactions. You'll make processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk. Externally, you collaborate with our extended workforce partners and internally, you will collaborate across the multiple areas of the Financial Operations team.

The Google Business Services (GBS) team within Accounting and Finance Operations, manages critical transactions on a global basis and ensures that processes are controlled, effective and efficient. The Sales Bonus team, a subset of GBS, manages the end-to-end process and systems associated with paying Google's sales reps and driving the company's business generation across all Product Areas, markets, and countries.

As a member of this team, you will find innovative ways to manage our complex ecosystem of partners, including Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Compensation Administration, Compensation, Corporate Engineering, People Operations and the 24K+ sales representatives around the world. You will grow on making processes more efficient and scalable, and you will work to ensure a positive seller experience, and proactively minimize operational risk.

This role allows you to a high degree of autonomy to manage a critical payroll operation for Alphabet and deliver an excellent outcome for our employees.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales bonus process, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Manage outsourced partners who provide customer support to Sales Googlers.
  • Partner with stakeholders in Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Compensation, Corporate Engineering, People Ops, and various other cross-functional teams to ensure Sales Googlers are paid in accordance with Google's sales incentive compensation strategy and policies.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with sales bonus payments, investigating root causes and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes and systems to further streamline operations, reduce operational risk, and improve the Sales Googler experience.
  • Provide analytics and insights to Sales and Compensation leadership to help drive business growth and identify issues.
