About the job

As the Google Cloud Logistics North and South America (NASA) Transportation Operations Manager, you will guide the goal and execution of strategic operations. In this role, you will enhance the customer experience and drive more efficient transit at reduced expense. You will be responsible for managing all activities and modes related to transportation (e.g., international air, ocean freight, domestic transportation within regions) from suppliers to final data center facilities while managing total cycle time, performance, and costs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive accountability of transportation network performance through comprehensive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and trending analytics. Track, monitor, and identify opportunities to improve customer experience while optimizing expenses.
  • Develop, plan, and execute the short- and long-term transportation strategic goal and subsequent transportation initiatives for both component inbound freight and finished goods shipments to data centers.
  • Take initiative to drive continuous improvement and change management.
  • Serve as the global transportation process and systems subject matter expert, working closely with upstream and downstream partners, third party logistics, information technology teams, and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and implement complex programs, which may include creating and maintaining the process improvement roadmap, project plan, business case/cost benefit tracker, training and communication plan, and others.
