Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

  • Experience working with at least one data query language (e.g., SQL or similar).

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

As the Android Ecosystem Financial Analyst, you will be the marketing finance partner for the Android Ecosystem marketing team, supporting critical areas across Chromebooks and Developer while partnering with the Android and Play marketing teams. In this role, you will be a trusted advisor to leadership as they plan and execute key activities and evaluate performance by partnering with marketing, finance and analytics to build a measurement plan to quantify impact and articulate that impact to leadership. You will also be an important conduit to the product finance teams to help translate marketing activities into business impact, ensuring alignment for future business decisions. You will elevate the marketing team’s capabilities to improve forecast accuracy and be able to explain key variances against forecast and plan.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a pivotal business partner to the Android Ecosystem marketing teams to support critical business decisions.
  • Advocate for and drive financial best practices including recurring budget management and leading month-end and quarter close input with marketing finance.
  • Generate data-driven insights to support decision-making, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
  • Collaborate with product finance to ensure marketing activities are aligned with business priorities and generate meaningful value to the business.
  • Lead annual planning for Android Ecosystem marketing by capturing and communicating financial insights and key performance drivers to marketing and finance leadership, effectively translating goals into a viable, detailed marketing plan.
