Senior Tax Analyst, Tax Systems and Processes

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance, Computer Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in tax system configuration, build design and implementation and systems development life-cycle.
- 7 years of experience in functional or SAP ERP systems and their various SAP modules (e.g., FI, MM, SD, Opentext/VIM, VendoRecon, FICA/FICO).
Preferred qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in tax technology and global transaction tax (e.g., VAT/GST and sales/Use Tax) deployment.

In this role, you will support the implementation of best practices and enhance the effectiveness of Google's tax systems, processes, and controls. You will be working with cross-functional Engineering and Tax teams, helping to shape the internal transaction tax systems as well as supporting new projects.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.Responsibilities
- Integrate, design, configure, and implement Vertex tax software solutions for enterprise applications and billing systems for both sales order-to-cash (O2C) and purchasing source-to-pay (S2P) activities in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Latin America (LATAM), and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions.
- Develop and optimize processes for the ongoing maintenance of global indirect tax logic rules in tax engine procurement and retail content.
- Gather global indirect tax business requirements and prepare functional specification documents for tax engine integration with multiple systems following the standard software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Provide guidance and support to business and product areas regarding systems and process impacts resulting from changes in global tax rules/regulations.
- Work with internal teams to prioritize system changes, feature requests, system improvements, and testing.
