Cloud Business Intelligence Architect, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience working with business intelligence tools and cloud databases, such as BigQuery.
  • Experience with architecting, developing, or maintaining technical solutions in virtualized environments.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in technical sales or consulting in cloud computing, data analytics, or Big Data.
  • Experience in customer-facing migration, including service discovery, assessment, planning, execution, and operations.
  • Experience in programming/scripting languages including SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Oracle, R, or Python).

The Google Cloud team helps companies, schools, and government seamlessly make the switch to Google products and supports them along the way. You listen to the customer and swiftly problem-solve technical issues to show how our products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. You work closely with a cross-functional team of web developers and systems administrators, not to mention a variety of both regional and international customers. Your relationships with customers are crucial in helping Google grow its Cloud business and helping companies around the world innovate.

As a Cloud Business Intelligence (BI) Architect, you will work with customers on projects to help them transform their businesses. You will provide management, consulting, and technical support to customer engagements while working with customer executives and technical leaders to deploy data solutions via Google’s Cloud Platform. You will use data and work with Google partners currently servicing accounts to manage programs, deliver services, and provide technical guidance and standard procedure knowledge.

This role involves traveling up to 30% of the time for customer engagements and field programs as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Propose solution architectures and manage deployment of Cloud Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions according to customer requirements and implementation standard procedures.
  • Interact with sales, partner leads and technical stakeholders to translate customer requirements into recommendations for solutions and consulting services.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with product and engineering teams, serving as advocate of the customer and assisting in testing and implementing new features, products, and solutions. Work with internal specialists, product, and engineering teams to package standard processes learned into thought leadership, methodologies, and published assets.
  • Advocate the use of data to develop operational reporting and tooling to understand utilization, performance, and adoption of products to inform customer engagement strategies.
  • Deliver insights to business stakeholders and influence customer engagements as new products, features, and solutions are launched.
