Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in tax.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with property tax compliance and valuation matters in various jurisdictions.
- Ability to have meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to organize voluminous quantities of tax data using software tools.
- Ability to work separately with limited guidance/supervision.
- Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle large datasets (i.e. SQL).

Made up of smart, perceptive Googlers with a flair for domestic, international, and sales and use tax, the knowledge and expertise of this team runs deep. You have years of experience in this field and an extensive knowledge of those tax issues most relevant to internet companies. While we don't give our Googlers individual tax advice, you make it easy for Googlers to get what they need to make good tax decisions. You find ways to work smarter by streamlining and automating our tax processes and systems, and find ways to be both innovative and compliant.

Responsibilities
- Participate in special projects/studies around: tax incentives, financial records and systems, investment planning, tax modeling, valuation analysis, and other property tax projects.
- Assist in coordinating with outside advisors to ensure compliance with property tax filings, audits/appeals, bill payments, and tax planning.
- Support the build and development of property tax calculations for Google properties.
- Develop databases and models and conduct in-depth analysis of tax data for audits, compliance, valuation, and due diligence projects.
- Collaborate with tax, various cross-functional teams, and outside service providers in resolving complex tax positions and assist in establishing policies and procedures for tax position analysis and documentation to minimize tax exposure.
