Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience working in sales and commercial leadership.
  • Experience in sales and general management in the technology, advertising, or Internet industry with direct ownership of CXO relationships and business growth goals.
  • Experience in working in multinational, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience as a people manager and leading teams through change.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading brand, sales, and cross-functional teams in a way that prioritizes and focuses the energy of the team to meet goals in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience in sales/operations management, strategic planning, and collaborating across highly matrixed organizations to effectively make decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to balance the needs and trade-offs of different stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and thought leadership.

About the job

In this role, you will be a key member of the India LCS leadership team, managing the Auto, Finance, FinTech, and Government and Education verticals. You will break down complex problems into steps that shape strategic priorities both short-, medium-, and long-term to drive our customers ROI and enable a cross-functional team of Googlers to succeed.

As the Director of Industry and Infrastructure, you will lead and coach Sales teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions. You'll also work with the Sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. You'll help your teams deliver on ambitious goals, and partner directly with clients to exceed business and merchant growth goals across markets and verticals.

Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate a Sales team and cross-functional team of Media Sales Specialists, Technical Solutions teams, and Agency Leads to develop strong relationships with clients and their marketing agencies in a highly competitive market.
  • Co-create and implement priorities and strategies, account plans, and business processes for India, including bringing the best of Google AI to establish and nurture C-level relationships with advertisers to drive business growth.
  • Analyze data trends and client performance, develop strategic business plans, and prepare and conduct strategic pitches and presentations to grow the business in a competitive market and demonstrate value delivered.
  • Gain and maintain industry presence as a critical and trusted influential voice, including developing case studies of successful campaigns to share insights with customers and acting as a spokesperson at targeted events and conferences.
