Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in marketing (e.g., growth, performance, direct response, social, digital, cloud, events, etc.).
  • Experience working cross-functionally with various stakeholders and teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex, large-scale projects, including relationship management and change management.
  • Ability to interact with both technical and business stakeholders, and all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex organization.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

Welcome to Media Lab. We’re the go-to team for all things media, overseeing media strategy, buying, and planning for Google Marketing. This includes our use of Google on-network platforms like Google Ads, YouTube, DV360, etc. and the media purchased off-network like social networks and more.

Join us at the forefront of marketing innovation where technology meets creativity. As part of Google's Media Lab, you will be instrumental in shaping the success of Consumer products by advocating performance media strategies to grow a dedicated user base and drive business impact.

As a Performance Media Manager, you will join our team and take the lead on a mission-critical goal: growing YouTube’s active users across products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead full-funnel media strategies for YouTube to drive incremental mobile engagement and subscriptions growth.
  • Take charge of the entire media lifecycle from the initial brainstorm and strategy session to execution and analyzing results.
  • Act as a key partner, building strong relationships with leaders across Marketing, Product, Finance, and Legal to advocate your projects and get big ideas off the ground. Collaborate with our amazing regional partners across the world to launch, scale, and drive performance.
  • Translate campaign performance into compelling insights, communicating business impact and strategic opportunities to partners and executives.
  • Connect our paid, owned, and earned media, working with the Brand, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Owned and Operated (O&O), and Social teams to create impactful campaigns.
