Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working in technology and the Public Sector, within Contracts, Legal, or similar functions.
  • Experience working with Public Sector legal negotiations and Public Sector Deal Desk.
  • Experience working with contractual terms with experience redlining and negotiating agreements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in collaborating with executive-level cross-functional leaders.
  • Knowledge of the key business issues in government business agreements, with excellent business agreement facilitation and drafting skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analysis skills, and business judgment.
  • Comfortable with data modeling and reporting, and strong communication skills.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. The Contracts and Deal Execution (CDE) team is instrumental in configuring, pricing, and quoting Professional Service business agreements for Google Professional Services (GPS). In this role, you will have the primary responsibility of managing all phases (e.g., Strategizing, Planning, Managing Escalations, Negotiating, and Closing) of the contracting process. You will focus on the drafting and approval of Statements of Work (SOWs). As such, you will be responsible for owning the contracting process and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of an agreement are acceptable to the GPS risk profile.

You'll ensure that Google Cloud Consulting contracts with Statements of Work (SOWs) have required approvals and are compliant per PSO business rules to minimize risk, prior to sharing with customers. You will facilitate alignment and communication between internal stakeholders, and external customers/partners to promptly resolve business and contractual issues to foster productive interactions. You'll support customers both internally and externally, with agreement negotiations for Professional Services, service delivery discussions, and administration of Google Cloud’s licensing and other agreements. You will also validate all aspects of agreement packages for accuracy and compliance with GPS’s business practices and approval process, while maintaining customer satisfaction and responsiveness.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Apply public sector/cloud industry expertise to provide contract support to Professional Services contracts for Google Public Sector.
  • Address, prioritize, and resolve issues .
  • Engage senior leadership to help drive decision making, including making specific recommendations all the way up to the CEO.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., across Sales, Finance, Contracts, Product Areas) to shape complex contractual opportunities.
  • Contribute in developing and shaping an exceptional CDE team (e.g., help recruit, onboard, upskill, manage the broader CDE team).
