About the job

YouTube Shopping aims to make YouTube a destination where viewers come to be inspired about products from their creators, brands, and merchants. YouTube is positioned to be a shopping destination given the existing user intent we see in searches and videos watched, the engagement we have from creators for features (e.g., selling merchandise), and the inbound interest we have from merchants. Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is one of YouTube Europe, the Middle East, and Africa’s (EMEA) growth markets: an early adopter of technology, and potential for growth.

In this role, you will be a part of building an affiliate program for YouTube Shopping in CEE that enables creators to earn commissions from merchants for business they generate. Specifically, you will recruit CEE merchants to our affiliate program and work on initiatives to generate their engagement.

You will work with our Product and Engineering teams to identify opportunities for us to achieve our goals via partnerships and set partnership strategy. You will discuss agreements, lead partnership programs, and manage partnerships. You will work with cross-functional teams within YouTube and Google (e.g., Legal, Content Partnerships, Strategy, and Google Shopping). In addition to execution on YouTube’s strategy, you will serve as a resource on areas you cover, advocate for the market to influence product roadmaps, and help lead go-to-market efforts to ensure partner-related launches.

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.

Responsibilities

  • Define partnership strategy for CEE to help achieve YouTube’s Shopping goals, starting with creator business generation.
  • Partner with CEE brands and retailers to close agreements and drive engagement with new product features and marketing activations.
  • Become a domain expert for your areas, understanding market dynamics and engaged landscapes.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external CEE partners (e.g., discussing agreements and partner management).
  • Incubate new products and formats, ensuring that partner feedback gets back to the cross-functional team to optimize product development.
