Business Development Associate, Apps, Play Partnerships (Fixed-Term Contract)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics, auto, OEMs, telecom, e-commerce/retail, apps, ads, gaming, or technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experiences in the mobile apps industry.
  • Experience working in business development, product management, program management, or project management roles.
  • Expertise with any of the Verticals such as AI, health and fitness, messaging and communications, productivity and creativity, social and entertainment.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial and value points with partners and internal Google teams.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Korea Apps mission within Play Partnerships is to enable strategic app partners to build successful businesses, and useful and trusted experiences across Play and Android surfaces.

As a part of the Korea Apps Play Partnerships team, you will shape and own the Korea App strategy. You will collaborate with the team around our north star goals to accelerate business impact and to improve partner app quality for Android and promotional content for the Play Store. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders within Product, Engineering, Legal, and Product Go-to-Market (GTM) teams on priority product programs and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for Android and Play. With your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you will proactively identify opportunities and work with your partners to grow their business, via the right products, agreements and business consults. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver solutions that bolster partner business generation goals.

Responsibilities

  • Foster trusted, strategic relationships with key partners, understanding their issues and opportunities.
  • Shape and execute impactful growth plans in collaboration with cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
  • Manage project execution of partnership plans, deliver reporting and insights, and work with Operations teams to ensure lead tracking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on key initiatives, including AI-focused projects to help partners scale innovative solutions.
  • Deliver comprehensive solutions that bolster partner business generation goals with various cross-functional Play teams.
