About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Partner Delivery and Offsite (PDO) EHS Construction Area Manager, you will serve as the primary Google Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) authority for Google’s Amarillo/Claude area mega-campus developments, overseeing a large portfolio. You will drive the "Owner Oversight" model to preserve Google's liability shield while managing risks in a geographically isolated region. You will lead complex, cross-functional program activities to ensure developer-led construction adheres to Google’s safety standards, bridging the gap between site delivery and global EHS governance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the "Owner Oversight" EHS program for the Amarillo portfolio to mitigate Google's liability at developer-led (3PDC) construction sites.
  • Oversee the remediation of high-energy electrical hazards, with a specific focus on arc flash prevention and grounding architecture deficiencies.
  • Partner with Front End Planning (FeP) and Data Center Operations to drive site-level resolutions and align developer activities with Google’s contractual standards.
  • Review and validate developer-led Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and safety-related 8D quality audits for all significant EHS incidents.
  • Manage and mentor site-level Construction Safety Facilitators (CSFs) to ensure consistent deployment of EHS programs across remote project locations.
