About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As part of the Compliance, Safety and Risk Management (CSRM) team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program for our Data Centers in South America. This includes but is not limited to: EHS management system, environmental, health and safety compliance programs, and sites oversight. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Google Data Center departments and contractors to identify and address EHS concerns, risk identification and mitigation.

You help ensure the safety of the operations workforce, protection of the environment and Google’s business. Furthermore, you will provide guidance with the implementation of new and critical EHS initiatives. Your efforts will contribute to the continuous improvement and iteration of our EHS programs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver successful business, operational, and technical improvements within the EHS domain.
  • Scope, phase, and lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, including delivering downstream change management, alongside your stakeholder team.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for program initiatives, ensuring alignment with Google's overall EHS direction and goals.
  • Monitor and track program performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Manage program budget and resources effectively.
