Technical Solutions Engineer, SAP Priority Solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience in technical support, professional services, software development, or product operations management.
  • 4 years of experience supporting customers in Enterprise Cloud.
  • Experience with SAP technologies (e.g., HANA database, S4/NetWeaver application platform) and architecture/infrastructure needs, in compute infrastructure, supporting, developing, maintaining cloud solutions.
  • Experience reading and debugging code, including but not limited to: Java, C, C++, .NET, Python, Shell/Bash, JavaScript or ABAP.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting SAP solutions in cloud platforms.
  • Experience with any of the following Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions: virtual machines and networks, on-premises/hybrid cloud computing, cloud identity and security models, cloud monitoring and logging, cloud storage.
  • Familiarity with SAP basic operations on public cloud around core production concepts (high availability, disaster recovery, scale-out and scale-up architectures, shared storage solutions, clustering solutions, etc).
  • Familiarity with SAP proprietary technologies and architecture, including but not limited to ABAP programming, SAP HANA technology and administration.
  • knowledge of Linux/Windows.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, Load Balancing, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer impact, handle escalations through diagnosis, trouble-shooting and resolution on Google Cloud Platform products through excellent customer management. Contribute to Supportability Engineering with product, SRE and engineering teams to improve product quality and reduce contact rate.
  • Develop understanding of the SAP-on-GCP and SAP on Google Bare Metal Solution (BMS) technologies and solutions by troubleshooting, reproducing, determining root cause for issues.
  • Act as subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders and customer organizations, resolve technical deployment obstacles, improve SAP-on-GCP/BMS and other products through understanding issue management and resolution processing.
  • Work as part of a team of developers/consultants that globally ensure 24 hour customer support.
  • Improve support experience for SAP-on-GCP/BMS by developing best practices/playbooks based on learnings from support of cloud based SAP solutions according to complex customer requirements and technical implementations.
