Head of Carrier Strategic Partnerships, UKI, Platform and Devices Commercial Organization

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in a sales leadership role within the Telco/Mobile industry or similar industry.
  • Experience managing a team of sales leaders to reach and exceed quotas.
  • Experience working with mobile carriers in devices or services.
  • Experience with commercial contracting and delivering commercial agreements in the market or globally.
  • Commercial experience with planning and managing at operational levels within a changing environment and cross functions, with frequent exposure to C-suite decision-makers at partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Experience working with enterprise and consumer carrier organisations.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present to and influence executive audiences.

About the job

The Carrier team focuses on Google-branded hardware across product categories. Our team is responsible for managing partnerships with our top carriers, including developing channel strategy, negotiating commercial terms, marketing and merchandising, and overall market share goals. We partner cross-functionally with marketing, product & engineering, finance and retail marketing teams internally, and with our carrier counterparts across these disciplines.

In this role as Head of Carrier Strategic Partnerships for UKI Devices and Services, you will lead a carrier business across the UK and Ireland. You will be accountable for driving business, profitability, and market share, while defining channel strategy and overseeing commercial negotiations. You will manage a team of Carrier Strategic Partner Managers and serve as a primary executive interface for carrier partners.

As a core member of the UK and Ireland Devices and Services Leadership Team, you will advocate Google AI-first strategy, accelerating the adoption of Smartphone, Connected Home, and Connected Health portfolios. You will partner cross-functionally with internal teams, including Marketing, Retail, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal to shape Go-to-Market strategies and product planning. In this role, you will require exceptional stakeholder management, driving influence both upward and downward to foster executive relationships internally and externally.Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Responsibilities

  • Lead the UK&I Mobile carrier area, managing the introduction, sales, and long-term growth of hardware products and associated services.
  • Manage a team of Strategic Partner Managers.
  • Set strategic direction for product tiers and market share goals to achieve specific UKI revenue goals, own the business objectives for those Partners and ensure plans are in place to achieve and exceed those targets.
  • Cultivate C-level relationships, design and implement commercial agreements and annual strategic negotiations.
  • Collaborate with internal leaders to execute initiatives, challenge the status quo, and travel frequently to ensure partner intimacy.
