Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design (e.g., Graphic, Interaction, Industrial, Architecture, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience working with multi-disciplinary UX teams.
- 10 years of experience with product, service, and solution design.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience creating, executing, and delivering against a product roadmap and driving business impact within a high level of complexity.
- Experience working collaboratively with senior designers, and executives in product management and engineering.
- Experience successfully leading and lifting large, global UX teams.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies.
- Clear demonstration of elevating product craft.
- Expertise in managerial and operational excellence.

As Director, User Experience (UX), you create and implement the strategy and vision for our UX design and research across partner teams that include AI Data, Core ML, Borg, Spatial Flex, and others. By leading the creation of strategic deliverables that cross organization boundaries as needed, you enable long-term business success and influence the perspectives of your peers and stakeholders. You anticipate changing market conditions, business requirements, and user problems, particularly in the areas of AI and ML, developing and converting a strategic point-of-view that directly influences the execution and, in many cases, the formulation of key results (OKRs). You deliver delightful user-centric product solutions in response to complex requirements, and your work influences your product area best practices and standards, and has a direct impact on developer productivity and resource utilization among other tangible metrics.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of a multi-year UX research and design strategy for the vast AI and Compute Enablement product portfolio, acting as an advocate for product usability, and more generally, users and their needs.
- Build, manage, and mentor a high performing UX team and set clear goals and objectives while balancing short-term development with long-term career growth.
- Drive execution and operational excellence of your team, while leading creative and holistic thinking at scale across product releases, platforms, and devices.
- Build relationships and operating rhythms to socialize and synthesize experiences that are cohesive, impactful, and well-informed across various engineering and product partner teams.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and research partners to explore and evaluate concepts, support implementation, and independently move projects forward.
