Cloud Revenue Accounting Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in finance or treasury with working on cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with financial processes such as Order to Cash cycle and related risks and controls.
  • Experience in improving business processes and systems, with the ability to work in ambiguity.
  • Ability to lead initiatives cross-functionally in a changing environment across a global organization.
  • Excellent technical accounting skills, with the knowledge of accounting principles including United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
  • Excellent investigative skills (e.g., SQL) and business judgment, with the ability to communicate with executive management.

About the job

Google Cloud develop cloud solutions, including Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscriptions, and Professional Services to enable the client’s digital transformation with security operations.

In this role, you will advise on financial and accounting matters and will review, analyze, and interpret data for accounting and reporting. You will be looking for ways to help the team get better. You will collaborate with the global team and advocate best practices. You will have excellent attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to support Google's business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the accounting and operational flow of business growth transactions from Order to Cash, to design and deliver accurate business growth reporting, including the external disclosures of remaining performance obligations under ASC 606.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners across the end-to-end process to define and establish processes to address financial reporting needs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through the knowledge of Google Cloud products, Order-to-Cash systems and cross-functional engagement.
  • Document the end-to-end business growth processes to design, implement, and monitor controls over financial reporting of business growth and performance obligations.
  • Manage data consistency across multiple booking and reporting systems and be responsible for the related Information Prepared by Entity (IPE) testings.
