Product Manager, Storage Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of product management experience in database systems, data lakes/warehouses, or Online Analytical Processing, and infrastructure for AI/ML workloads.
  • 3 years of experience delivering technical presentations to leadership.
  • 2 years of experience in software development engineering working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales and finance stakeholders.
  • Experience in life-cycle data roll-outs, promoting product excellence and collaboration.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering leadership in multiple product areas to identify needs in order to build and bring to market storage products and solutions.
  • Build strategy and direction and drive execution for Data Storage products. Understand the landscape of the storage products, their ecosystem of processing and querying systems while supporting business cases in the ML, Ads, Search, YouTube product areas to ingest and manage data.
  • Drive and increase adoption of Google-wide ML use-cases to deliver feature storage optimized for storing, distilling data to be used in Google’s training models.
  • Work with cross-product teams to build integrated solutions based on Data’s storage product portfolio, simplifying data management and governance for the customers.
