Strategic Partner Development Lead, Google Store

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in e-commerce, OEM, consumer electronics, or Telco industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work streams in a changing environment, and work on tight timescales and maintain excellent execution.
  • Ability to demonstrate conclusions based on data-focused approach.
  • Ability to structure negotiations, influence partners, and interpret legal documents.
  • Excellent quantitative problem-solving skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Google Store business development team is responsible for defining partner strategy, executing strategic agreements, and managing long-term relationships with the business critical partners that enable our retail channel to expand, operate, grow, and innovate. Our partners include critical global carriers, financial institutions, and tech insurance companies. Partnerships are often fast-moving, involving lots of cross-functional and cross product area collaboration.

As a Strategic Partner Development Lead for Google Store, you will establish relationships with our Product and Engineering counterparts to drive business, product, and partner strategy while cultivating and executing partnerships with major partners and drive international expansion of critical programs to drive business growth. You will be the primary negotiator on multi-year global partner agreements as well as the go-to relationship manager for key Google Store partners. You will be the subject matter expert on strategic deals as you partner closely with cross-functional teams to proactively resolve business and technical issues and identify new partnership and collaboration opportunities.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Influence and drive business strategy for Google Store programs and expansion.
  • Build, maintain, and evolve relationships with partners, such as operations vendors, international logistics, major telecom, insurance, crediting, or payments sectors.
  • Negotiate agreements with executives, and manage contracts throughout their life cycle.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and closely work with a broad range of constituents within Google Store, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, UX, Legal, and Operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-Product Area teams to structure and execute business initiatives, develop work plans, lead analysis, and develop and communicate final recommendations to executive leaders.
