Senior Account Strategist, Mid-Market Sales, Google Customer Solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in sales, business development, advertising, account management, marketing, or consulting, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working with advertisers, agencies, and clients.
  • Ability to communicate in Norwegian and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a business related field.
  • Experience launching and managing paid digital advertising campaigns in Google Ads and other digital marketing platforms.
  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection managing, and competitive selling.
  • Demonstrated ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

The Mid-Market Sales (MMS) team is a critical growth engine for clients in Google Customer Solutions (GCS) designed to grow medium- and large-sized fast growing businesses in Norway. Through long-term relationship development, we’re dedicated to understanding the business goals by providing advertising solutions to drive business success.

In this role, you will use a deep understanding of clients’ business goals to improve campaign performance, drive thoughtful Google product adoption, and build short- and medium-term strategies to meet business and marketing objectives. Using your commercial acumen, you uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and achieve their objectives while driving incremental revenue deals through our industry leading advertising solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against quarterly business and product growth goals. 
  • Own a portfolio of medium- and large-size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans for achievement. 
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving customer business and marketing goals. 
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers. 
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
