Chip Package Signal and Power Integrity Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Signal and Power Integrity (SIPI) modeling and analysis across the chip–package–board system.
  • 6 years of experience in people management in technical organizations in IC packaging environments.
  • Experience in high-performance packages (e.g., FCBGA, FCCSP, coreless substrate, chiplet-based, 2.5D architectures).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in power integrity and signal integrity field.
  • Experience in PDN modeling and simulation, with experience in PMIC design and modeling.
  • Experience in LPDDR and High speed IO (e.g., UFS, MIPI, PCIE, USB) modeling and simulation.
  • Experience with EDA tools (e.g., Ansys HFSS, Q3D, SiWave, Cadence PowerSI, Clarity, PowerDC, Allegro, APD, Spectre, Keysight ADS, Synopsys Hspice).
  • Knowledge of on-chip power analysis flow (e.g., PTPX, Redhawk, Voltus), SoC physical design (e.g. floor plan).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and drive Google Tensor SOC package SIPI strategy across multiple product generations. Ensure electrical performance for high-speed interfaces such as LPDDR, MIPI, UFS, PCIE, USB2, USB3 and DP.
  • Support and lead packaging solutions impacting signal integrity, Power Delivery Network performance, and substrate design, defining substrate stack-up, bump planning, and package architecture to meet high-speed and power integrity requirements.
  • Lead and support cross-functional execution across organizations and deliver packaging solutions on schedule. Represent Signal Integrity and Power Integrity leadership in executive reviews and major program milestones.
  • Drive end to end simulation-to-measurement correlation strategy. Ensure strong alignment between EM extraction, system-level models, and lab validation, continuously improving model accuracy, simulation efficiency, and SIPI signoff criteria.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a SIPI organization, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and technical excellence while driving talent development and resource planning.
