Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
- 7 years of experience in Program Management or EHS Leadership, specifically managing portfolios in industrial environments (e.g., Data Centers, Manufacturing, or Energy).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience utilizing KPIs and project health metrics to monitor performance, identify trends, and implement continuous process improvements.
- Ability to oversee third-party business partners or vendors, ensuring their execution meets strict safety, quality, and timeline requirements.
- Ability to build relationships and drive alignment across global, cross-functional teams and communicate technical risks to executive leadership.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.As part of the Compliance, Safety and Risk Management (CSRM) Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program for our new Data Centers in Austria, currently under construction. You will include but not limited to EHS management system, environmental, health and safety compliance programs, and site oversight. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Google Data Center departments and contractors to identify and address EHS concerns, risk identification and mitigation.
You will help ensure the safety of the operations workforce, protection of the environment and Google’s business. Furthermore, you will provide guidance with the implementation of new and critical EHS initiatives. Your efforts will contribute to the continuous improvement and iteration of our EHS programs.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end execution of EHS programs, ensuring high-quality delivery on time, within scope, and on budget across global regions.
- Manage business partners' execution of the EHS portfolio, auditing performance to ensure projects meet organizational benchmarks and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee business partner execution of the EHS portfolio, auditing performance to ensure adherence to safety standards and organizational requirements.
- Track project health via data-driven KPIs, providing executive updates and escalating critical risks to executive leadership to ensure business continuity.
- Optimize team resources by balancing workloads against priorities and individual development goals to drive a high-performance culture.
