Strategic Initiatives Lead, EMEA GTM Hub

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience managing projects through the full life-cycle, from initiation to closure.
  • Experience developing and implementing plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects or initiatives.
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders to secure buy-in.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in synthesizing information into clear, concise written and verbal insights for executive audiences.
  • Experience in designing and governing intuitive, executive-level dashboards in Looker (or similar) to drive decision-making.
  • Proficiency in SQL (specifically GoogleSQL) for large datasets and Python/R for statistical analysis (e.g., regression, classification).
  • Ability to track record in change design and implementation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills coupled with an a collaborative style, growing in ambiguity and bringing an entrepreneurial approach to changing environments.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As a pivotal member of the Go-to-Market (GTM) Operations team, you will be at the forefront of shaping the direction of Google's dynamic Ads business. In this role, you will be a strategic thought partner, an investigative powerhouse, and a key driver of innovation within our business and GTM processes. You will be responsible for providing business-critical insights that inform our highest-level priorities. This goes beyond traditional analysis; you will be expected to design and build insightful dashboards, develop sophisticated data models, and analyze vast datasets to unearth actionable opportunities. A key part of this role will be to leverage AI to reimagine and revolutionize our GTM and sales team processes, driving unprecedented efficiency and effectiveness.

You will identify, design, and lead high-priority initiatives that are critical for our future growth. You will work closely with regional and global leadership to not only report on results but also to proactively influence our strategic roadmap.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, design and execute a portfolio of strategic initiatives to drive transformational change across EMEA and the Hub.
  • Partner with Sales Leaders and business to understand opportunities and pain points to inform strategic initiatives.
  • Influence and manage stakeholder networks to effectively launch and land initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional and cluster GTM partners to share best practices and collaborate on activation strategies.
