About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager, you will be a part of Global team focused on addressing the most critical and emerging risks related to managing, supporting and responding to audits required by regulatory bodies. You will collaborate with Regulatory Affairs leads, as well as a team across Google and Alphabet including Legal, Compliance, Investigations, Communications and Engineering. You will involve in overseeing programs designed to identify, plan for, resolve and adapt to Alphabet’s highest priority risks.

We help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. You are quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across PR, Communications, Marketing, Product, and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, manage and facilitate regulatory programs portfolios by collaborating cross-functionally with product and legal teams to design end-to-end compliance programs.
  • Analyze regulations to advice on compliance strategy design, conduct current state assessments and develop compliance artifacts such as risk and control matrices and policies.
  • Manage a portfolio of regulatory audits including technical audits like Application Security Testing and Code reviews, overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle and governance processes.
  • Communicate schedules, priorities and regulatory status updates across all company levels regarding new and emerging regulations.
  • Establish and maintain end-to-end program management frameworks for regulatory obligation portfolios.
