Data Analytics Sales Specialist Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in planning, pitching, and executing a territory business strategy/sales programs and developing mechanisms to grow business.
  • 2 years of experience in people management with direct reports.
  • Experience in managing a quota-carrying sales team.
  • Experience in promoting data and analytics software or solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with market leading Business Intelligence (BI) front-end, data analytics middleware, or back-end data warehouse technologies.
  • Understanding of data analytics technology stack (e.g., Hadoop/Spark data lakes, columnar data warehouses, data streaming, ETL and data governance, predictive analytics, OLAP, and data science framework).
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud data and analytics offerings (e.g., BigQuery, Looker, DataProc, PubSub, etc).
  • Ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders at the CDO/CXO level as a business advisor and thought leader in data analytics.
  • Excellent business judgement and analytics skills, using data informing decisions and influence stakeholders.

About the job

In this role, you will lead a Sales team and grow Google Cloud accounts in assigned territories. You will build executive-level relationships, and align our offerings and partners value proposition to customers needs. You’ll be prospecting, qualifying, and orchestrating a cross-functional team, leveraging the right resources, including customer engineering, partner management, professional services, and field teams. You will work in complex agreements and be part of a specialized team.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, motivate, develop, and lead a team of sales specialists to grow and exceed annual and quarterly goals.
  • Collaborate with the wider Google sales organization to develop scaled strategies, drive pipeline, and provide oversight to the overall data analytics pipeline health.
  • Generate a plan to ensure broad data analytics growth into Google Cloud accounts and manage cross-functional partners in complex implementation projects and agreements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level customers, influence long-term strategic direction, and act as an advisor.
  • Ensure accurate and timely sales and business forecast and regular updates to team and leadership on key business priorities and initiatives.
