Account Manager, Large Customer Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, digital media sales, business development, online media environment, or digital marketing role.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently in order to communicate in a client facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and competitive promoting.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and high executive functioning within the digital marketing space.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. In this role, you will partner closely with our major advertising clients and agencies to develop digital solutions that build our clients businesses and brands. You will hold a position to shape the marketing and business conducted in the digital age and generate business from across Google’s broad range of solutions, from Google AdWords, to YouTube, to Mobile, that help our customers connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences and get the most out of the web.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer business objectives, set, own and execute sales strategies for specific customers in collaboration with internal partners.
  • Partner with customers and own/drive customer relationships in order to work towards mutual business objectives, build, grow, and maintain customer portfolios to drive high impact and long-lasting relationships; advise customers on best tactics and business practices.
  • Identify business and growth opportunities within your book of business, work with internal stakeholders to determine and drive sales, business growth, or marketing efficiency, as well as the incremental investment recommended to achieve customer business outcomes.
  • Create account and campaign-specific proposals for customers by translating customer objectives into KPIs and selecting Google ad solutions based on KPIs and work with internal stakeholders to conduct research and learn about account or campaign relationships to complete proposals.
