About the job
Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As a Social Marketing Lead, Content and Culture, you are a builder and creator who leads from the front. You will be directly responsible for shaping and executing the social presence of one of the world's most culturally significant brands. You will be an individual with an innate understanding of cultural velocity what is trending, why it matters, and how to rapidly translate it into social-first content. You will lead the content engine, driving an always-on editorial drumbeat that prioritizes agility and real-time engagement over lengthy planning cycles. You will collaborate cross-functionally across multiple teams to execute high-impact moments, operating with agility and creativity to achieve measurable outcomes.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

- Design and execute the social-first approach for key brand and product moments, ensuring campaigns are disruptive, designed for viral potential.
- Collaborate tightly with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to ensure all social executions align with the overarching brand goal, grounded in a unified commitment to speed and executional excellence.
- Embody the entrepreneurial mindset required for cultural leadership and actively mentor junior team members and agency partners on social best practices.
