Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in C++ programming languages.
- 5 years of experience in data analysis with experience in SQL.
- 5 years of experience with the design, analysis, and implementation of algorithms in production software systems.
- 3 years of experience with full-stack development, across the back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience navigating complex, large-scale distributed systems, alongside an interest in learning the intricacies of ads serving infrastructure.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Familiarity with, or an eagerness to learn about, integrating machine learning models, specifically for ranking, retrieval, or filtering ads.
- Familiarity with, or a strong desire to learn, full-stack development and front-end technologies to build user-facing features.
- Ability to operate autonomously, execute quickly, and drive complex technical projects forward with minimal direction.

- Write and test product or system development code.
- Build full-stack solutions across the entire ad serving lifecycle, spanning retrieval, ranking, auction dynamics, and user-facing frontend rendering and leverage Google’s core ads serving infrastructure.
- Analyze local query intent to design, implement, and iterate on novel ad formats that enhance the whole-page ads quality and generate significant business value.
- Conduct rigorous data analysis, log evaluation, and quality experimentation to measure ad relevance, advertiser return on investment, and overall format performance to support our ambitious growth goals.
- Partner seamlessly with stakeholders across Search, Geo, Ads Serving, and Ads Quality to align technical implementations and launch highly effective local ads solutions.
