As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects using engineering knowledge. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. You will also manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving the technical directions of programs.

The Platforms and Ecosystems product area encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications). The products provide enterprises, and ultimately end users, the ability to utilize and manage their services at scale. We build innovative and compelling software products—from apps to TVs, from laptops to phones—that have an impact on people’s lives across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage project operations from builds though ramp and serve as technical lead in resolving issues during bring-up and life of product.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers in the development and support of New Product Introductions.
  • Lead project readiness, identify, prioritize, and manage key technical changes and risks, ensure technical risks associated with a product are identified and closed or mitigated to enable the quality ramp of a product.
  • Review assessment of Engineering and Manufacturing solutions to meet the requirements of the operation and the implementation of additional solutions to mitigate risks to the plan.
  • Advise for the product line for the life cycle of the product, and ensure operations technical readiness for all phases of the introduction cycle.
