Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
- 2 years of experience managing and building teams.
- Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier-class scale, with experience of optical networks, DWDM, IP and data services.
- 10 years of experience in management of teams of Network Engineers.
- Knowledge of Content Distribution Networks (CDN), IP transit/peering, dark fiber, colocation, optical transport, and cloud technologies.
- Ability to identify, breakdown, and solve ambiguous and technical problems that span across many teams and organizations.
- Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and able to represent projects from business, product and technical perspectives.

In this role, you will be responsible for generating and publishing designs. You will work with various stakeholders that include planning, material forecasting, architecture, technology and deployment to deliver designs. You may also manage a small group of network engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Network Implementation Engineers fostering their professional development and well-being.
- Oversee the creation of all infrastructure and capacity designs for Google's global production network, spanning edge, core, campus, and transport domains. Produce designs for all active devices within the production environment. Document and maintain the design roadmap for all metros within the assigned region.
- Influence the New Product Introduction (NPI) roadmap and support the entire NPI life-cycle. Integrate new NPI solutions into designs and prepare design tools for NPI intake.
- Drive the team's automation roadmap to reduce task cycle time while enhancing design quality and consistency.
- Establish strategy, and goals for the team, aligned with partners, and provide guidance throughout execution. Define and monitor key business metrics, analyze them for insights, and implement improvement initiatives.
