Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Legal, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in corporate real estate and workplace, including facilities operations, design development, and project management of corporate real estate assets.
- 5 years of people management experience.
- Corporate facilities operations, real estate design, construction project management, or leadership experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Architecture, Business, Construction Management, Engineering or related field, LEED AP certification or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a high-tech, fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple and changing initiatives.
- Ability to think "out of the box" and bring creative, non-standard, and innovative solutions to the table.
- Excellent problem solving and leadership skills, directing teams or organizations.
About the job
As the Regional Director, you will be the single point of accountability within Real Estate Workplace Services (REWS) for a regional portfolio, reporting to the General Manager of the Bay Region. In this role, you will be responsible for several key areas. First, you will own and elevate day-to-day workplace operations and – overseeing Facility Operations, Food, Health, and Performance, and Events – to ensure a fully integrated, seamless and inspiring Googler experience. Second, you’ll be responsible for integrating all real estate planning initiatives and delivery activities alongside workplace services and programs, and centers of excellence across your regional portfolio and for collaborating with your regional peers in other regions of the Bay to ensure a seamless approach. Third, you’ll guide the delivery of a holistic workplace experience that empowers collaboration, productivity, and well-being for Googlers, working closely with design teams to reflect the latest thinking in hybrid work innovation. Fourth, in partnership with our REWS Business Partners you’ll be responsible for managing and nurturing the REWS partnership with regional site leadership, ensuring robust and timely communication on all REWS activities, including preparation and participation at the various site leadership meeting forums.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $246,000-$343,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Be accountable for the existing portfolio. Manage a direct and indirect team, providing oversight for your team’s projects and initiatives.
- Navigate the complexities of a matrix organization, effectively building alignment and achieving results across teams and functional areas.
- Empower technical experts by providing clear direction and valuing their expertise. Create collaborative opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and drive alignment with stakeholders to address challenges, or identify new opportunities and solutions to further business goals. Work cross-functionally with other internal support organizations, such as Corporate Engineering (i.e. internal systems), People Operations, Finance, Communications, and Legal to ensure cohesive delivery of services.
- Communicate departmental mission, values, objectives and key results (OKRs) to executive management. Build advanced relationships with user groups and business leaders, to convey intentionality of REWS programs and services, to meet complex business needs.
