Technical Solutions Manager, Customer Experience, gTech Ads Sellside (English, Mandarin)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages.
  • Experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Experience with Data/SQL and web technologies.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SQL/MySQL, and Unix/Linux operating systems and commands.
  • Ability to collaborate, build consensus, deliver, and drive technical decisions with various sized customer stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to travel to meet with specific partner and client stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, investigative, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

gTech Ads Sellside is a solution-generating force that helps Google's sales teams and publishers. These solutions need to be scalable to support millions of customers worldwide. In addition to troubleshooting on the customer side, you will work with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams within Google to develop better tools and services to improve products based on the evolving needs of users. As a cross-functional and global team, it's Google's job to help keep the lights on and the Ads fresh.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve technical problems and roadblocks around data and tools access.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and automate workflows across a wide variety of projects.
  • Work with Product Managers and Software Engineers to improve or develop new Google tools and products.
  • Collaborate with Consumer and Engineering teams to write complex code and implement tools to improve troubleshooting efficiency and the end user experience.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate with internal teams and external consumers, advertisers, and publishers to provide technical and business feedback as well as deliver technical solutions.
