  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in supplier negotiation and management through Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Award.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience launching complex products involving tight collaboration between external partners and internal engineering, operations, and go-to-market functions.
  • Experience in establishing organizational mechanisms to systematically evaluate and manage supplier performance.
  • Experience managing complicated V0 system builds.
  • Ability to successfully launch multiple products with high-volume production.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Senior NPI Operations Program Manager for Google Beam, you will work with a talented, fast-paced team to turn science fiction into reality by bringing our first-generation 3D communication products to life. You will work across hardware, software, manufacturing, and supply chain, serving as a critical interface between engineering design and manufacturing teams and Beam’s partners. You will be responsible for leading the definition and implementation of operations’ requirements throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

Your contributions will have an impact on the future of communications with Google products. You will apply technology to solve that really important problem that we often want to be together and we can’t.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage supply chain readiness during development, driving tactical execution and strategy to meet system build requirements, product cost, manufacturing capital expenditure goals, and setting/achieving manufacturability goals.
  • Define and establish plans for required manufacturing capacity and related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Lead ramp strategy and planning for first-generation products in collaboration with Beam’s partners.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams (including Mechanical Engineering/Product Design (ME/PD), Industrial Design (ID), Electrical Engineering (EE), Manufacturing Test, and Software) to implement manufacturing solutions that meet development milestone requirements and scale to meet operational KPIs.
  • Manage internal and external partner relationships in a variety of development and manufacturing models, including Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM), Original Device Manufacturing (ODM), and OEM.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues on the factory floor, leading Failure Analysis (FA), Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts.
