Technical Lead, Google Cloud Security

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development using languages such as Go, C++, Java, C# or Python.
  • 5 years of experience with testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 5 years of experience with Machine Learning (ML) design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity domain, with building or working with SecOps, SOAR, or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
  • Experience with designing and integrating AI/ML capabilities, Large Language Models (LLMs), or multi-agent orchestration frameworks into enterprise products.
  • Experience with establishing engineering best practices, improving developer velocity, and mentoring engineers.
  • Experience with designing APIs and microservices architectures.

In this role, you will guide the transition to an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-native Security Operations Center (SOC). You will guide a talented team in architecting the next-generation Agent Engine and universal Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that empower enterprise security teams to orchestrate defense at machine speed. You will have an impact on how global enterprises defend against threats using Google's AI capabilities. You will play a role in shifting the industry paradigm from static workflows to changing, collaborative multi-agent ecosystems, while establishing a culture of engineering excellence that balances code quality with rapid developer velocity.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical architecture and design for the Security Operations (SecOps) Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) Group.
  • Drive the platform transition from bespoke playbooks to a AI-native SOC leveraging hybrid automation.
  • Drive direction and technical leadership for the Response group teams, promoting a culture of engineering excellence that balances rapid development velocity with uncompromising code quality and system reliability.
  • Provide overarching technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to a group of engineers building the multi-agent framework.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and secure API governance across the universal agent marketplace and distributed systems.
