  • Understanding of desktop design patterns, web browser, or operating system paradigms.

You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

Global Business and Operations (GBO) Engineering is an embedded product and engineering team within Google’s Ad business organization. We build AI-first consumer-grade internal tooling for sales, marketing, and service teams.

As a UX Designer, you will lead design for a new investment in the agency business space a zero-to-one effort with the opportunity to significantly shape a product offering. You will define the design direction for this area, collaborating closely with product and engineering to deliver impactful tooling to enable Google’s agency sales teams.

Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Design AI-first experiences with a high bar for craft, defining the design language and ensuring functional excellence for Agency tooling.
  • Advocate UX-led processes, including design sprints, critiques, and reviews, for cross-functional peers and stakeholders.
  • Drive end-to-end execution from initial concept to final spec delivery, employing skills from wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping.
  • Partner with Product Manager, Engineering, and various UX disciplines to find design solutions for business and technical requirements.
  • Communicate designs to stakeholders with strong rationale and collaborate with engineers to ensure implementation meets exact specifications.
