- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- 4 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
- Experience leading teams, with a focus on coaching and mentoring, and developing team members.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives.
- Experience with Ads product or business knowledge working with policy, legal, financial or regulatory challenges.
- Familiarity with US market dynamics and international relations.
- Ability to lead senior cross-functional stakeholders/partners and influence executive decision making, while navigating complex organizational dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into simple language that people who are not experts can understand.
- Distinctive problem-solving skills combined with impeccable business acumen.

The America's Business Strategy and Operations (ABS&O) organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth and transformation initiatives.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading, coaching and developing the team responsible for setting the direction for America's Ads Policy and Velocity (Reputation) and executing on strategic priorities. You will lead your team to deliver against: policy projects and programs that keep users safe and also unlock new avenues for safe and sustainable growth for the America's Large Customer Sales (LCS) business, in close partnership with Global and strategy and operations for the United States and America's Velocity forum, a cross-functional Leadership Forum responsible for delivering positive reputation outcomes for Google.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Set the goals for America's Policy and Velocity strategy by assessing and identifying emergent risks and opportunities and implications for the ALCS business and Google through understanding of the Policy and regulatory landscape.
- Partner closely with senior cross-functional stakeholders in ALCS, AGTM, Marketing, GAPP, Trust and Safety, Product, gTech to identify key strategic questions and translate long-term goals and strategy into defined Policy and reputation efforts in the Americas.
- Manage United States and America's Velocity forum and drive delivery of efforts to achieve positive reputation outcomes, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across GAPP, Marketing, Global Business and Operations (GBO), and other relevant teams.
