  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction with a focus on delivering value rather than pure engineering.
  • Experience designing, testing, delivering, and monitoring scalable high-availability software in a cloud computing environment.
  • Experience communicating with internal and external partners to create system design.
  • Experience working on scalable, database-backed, distributed systems.
  • Ability to work and achieve results without daily supervision collaborating with other engineers.

The Health Platforms and Devices team builds innovative products and services that help our users live longer, healthier lives. We bring together the best of Google technologies and AI, health behavior science, and user-centered design to help users organize the health and wellness data, get insight from it, and take action toward their health goals. We do this with a suite of apps, services, and health wearables. We aim to make consumer health more personal, proactive, and actionable.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full-cycle of development from an idea through design, implementation, testing to exposing features to millions of end users.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams inside Google, (e.g., Product Management, User Experience, Identity, Product Security, Customer Support, feature development teams, Database Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering).
  • Contribute to the multi-year effort of integrating the software stack with Google Production systems and partner subscription life-cycle management solutions.
  • Ensure appropriate test automation and coverage for developed features to ensure high quality at scale.
  • Contribute creatively to our processes, testing, automation, products, and business growth.
