UX Program Manager, XR

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, financial planning and analysis, business intelligence, or another relevant industry/discipline.
  • 4 years of experience analyzing and translating data into insights, delivering recommendations for improvements, and presenting results of analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with UX design, UX engineering, and UX research teams.
  • Experience delivering complete project solutions within larger programs.
  • Experience with Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.
  • Experience thriving in a rapid paced environment.
  • Experience communicating effectively and explaining data clearly to stakeholders.

You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, to create industry-leading products based on user insights.

As a UX Program Manager, you will combine expert project management with a passion for user experience to improve the design of products used by billions. Your role is to plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure deadlines are met. You will harmonize the work of various UX disciplines and cross-functional partners to drive team objectives and create innovative experiences.

Google's XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap the convergence of AI and XR. We are building a future where lightweight XR devices pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.

As a UX Program Manager, you will partner closely with the XR UX Engineer (UXE) and Developer UX leads, as well as UX, Cross-functional (XFN) and Cross-Product Area (XPA) leads, to build and drive programs that support experiences across the full spectrum of Android XR devices.

lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build and execute programs for XR UX in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Deliver complete project solutions within larger programs with minimal assistance.
  • Align on UX priorities, resource allocation, and progress across teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on initiatives, anticipating issues and proposing solutions to address underlying problems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business and organizational engagement cadence.
