Strategic Partner Lead, Video Distributor Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • 3 years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, strategy, or business development in a cable/satellite/telecommunications (telco) operator or Connected TV (CTV) video company.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Understanding of the CTV and payTV industry, key platforms and trends (e.g., CTV/OTT distribution, payTV unbundling, rebundling of streaming services) and online advertising ecosystem (e.g., ad serving, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising).
  • Ability to discuss agreements, interpret legal documents, and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex business opportunities across various product areas.

As Strategic Partner Lead, Video Distributor Partnerships, you will manage ad infrastructure and programmatic ad inventory partnerships with strategic video partners to foster development of the CTV ecosystem, while also discovering areas for joint innovation and deeper partnership. You both lead and work in collaboration with account teams on the strategic direction for partner accounts, drive growth opportunities, and align internal stakeholders to execute on account priorities. You will build long-lasting relationships with senior executives and operational leads at our top TV OEM and FAST partners while staying close to emerging trends in the payTV and streaming industry to help shape the strategy of our team. You will renew existing partnerships and ensure partner success to drive cross-Google deals and upscale potential opportunities.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $106,000-$153,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop cross-product area strategic partner initiatives and build go-to-market strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
  • Ideate and drive complex deals with potential partners, and renewals/expansions for existing partners and build consensus with internal and external executives.
  • Understand the full scope of partner monetization and ad serving, including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used, and how ad monetization fits into larger business strategy.
  • Develop renewal and product promote strategy, discuss term sheets, manage internal approvals processes, discuss agreements, and compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with technical and monetization specialist teams to manage and grow business, product adoption, and relationships with Connected TV (CTV) distributor partners.
