Program Manager, Portfolio and Knowledge Management

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience budget reporting or overseeing and maintaining spend forecasts.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in related field.
  • Certified in Project Management Professional (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Google PgM, etc.) and experience in corporate learning and Development programs.
  • Experience with field-based employees and experience with manufacturing, industrial, or technology-focused companies.
  • Experience and expertise with Smartsheets and the Google Workspace set of tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive initiatives and work collaboratively with numerous stakeholders in different locations worldwide.
  • Excellent project management experience, ability to define projects and execute within timelines and with multiple stakeholders and proven ability to deliver projects on time and to budget.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for creating and executing the methods and procedures to capture, manage, share, and use knowledge and information that are integral to the function of a global Learning and Development (L&D) organization. You will coordinate with global, regional, local L&D Program Managers, points of contact, and subject matter experts in the management and reporting of Fleet-wide, Regional, and site-specific curriculum and L&D infrastructure initiatives.

You will analyze business needs, and the requisite programs and resources required to fulfill needs. You will ask questions and connect the dots between our portfolio, their business impact, and our budget and agreements and help the team meet Business reporting.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collect/manage the wide-range of knowledge assets that support a robust portfolio of Learning and Development (L&D) programs for Google Data Centers and Cloud Supply Chain and Operations to ensure the L&D organization runs efficiently and effectively at scale.
  • Monitor/analyze the L&D portfolio of programs, including the creation of proper stakeholder reporting of progress and status.
  • Establish and maintain a monthly and quarterly budget reporting format and cadence (e.g., burndown report, EoY projection). Manage the relationship with suppliers and oversee invoicing and payment of contracted goods and services, as well as maintaining the accuracy of spend forecasts throughout the term of the agreement and fiscal year.
  • Optimize team communication/change management to promote collaboration and workplace harmony- including goals (objectives and results) with project roadmaps and leading goal planning.
