Strategic Partner Development Lead, AR Glasses

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business development/partnership management, in the Consumer Electronics, Connected Hardware, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Eyewear, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • 4 years of business development, sales, or business building experience in eyewear / optical fields.
  • Experience operating in always-on, constantly evolving and collaborative environment and work cross-functionally with all levels of management, internally and externally, on first-of-kind partnerships and agreements.
  • Experience with structuring and negotiating the business, technology and legal issues.
  • Knowledge of product, technical and subject matter or work experience in the XR (VR/AR/MR) or eyewear space (e.g., Rx, Frames, DTC).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and presentation skills on technical, contractual and financial issues.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Product team, lead the Android XR platform engagements with potential device partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with leading global partner executives to drive platform/device roadmap intersections, and help them navigate the supply chain to bring Android XR devices to market.
  • Be a thought leader on the Immersive ecosystem, trends, engaged threats, and establish reputation as an expert who can provide guidance to Product, teams on prioritization and engagement strategies.
  • Define, negotiate, and first-of-kind product, technology, business, and GTM agreements, including terms relating to the collaboration / licensing / business generation of a reference platform and apps/services for glasses experiences.
  • Collaborate with Product, StratOps, Finance, and other teams to define, validate, and scale new business revenue models (e.g., licensing) eyewear partners.
