Director, GCAS Strategy and Operations, Go-To-Market

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in revenue-oriented strategy and operations functions (or other related areas).
  • 10 years of experience in the advertising industry.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in a management, technical, or engineering field.
  • 12 years of experience at a consulting or finance firm, or at a digital media or ad tech company.
  • Experience executing complex strategic and operational sales initiatives, with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Experience building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing within a complex business environment, with excellent communication skills.

About the job

As the Director of Strategy and Operations for Global Client and Agency Solutions (GCAS), you will be responsible for managing the Go-To-Market team supporting the GCAS business, including coordinating the strategic, operational, and product priorities and cadence globally. In this role, you will partner closely with senior Sales leaders and cross-functional teams to execute business-accelerating initiatives, position the business for strategic success, and lead on-going improvements in products and operations. Throughout, you will partner closely with the President of GCAS, their leadership team, and various cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Product, HR, etc.).

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

For US Candidates: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $261,000-$374,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Concept, design and deliver strategic programs and initiatives for the global client and agency businesses.
  • Drive operational improvements, including optimizing resource allocation across Sales teams, measuring progress against business goals, and facilitating Sales leadership meetings.
  • Partner with senior Sales leaders and cross-functional teams to develop quarterly and annual business plans.
  • Pilot and scale business growth opportunities across the business, and continuously improve Sales team capabilities and effectiveness.
  • Participate in and help steer global initiatives, and ensure that relevant initiatives are rolled out effectively to the GCAS team.
